Three complementary strands for tailored reception: SAMED (medical), Transition (transit housing) and Escale & Youth in Transit (semi-autonomy).

SAMED, for SAM Médical, welcomes, houses and supports people seeking international protection who have specific medical needs. Run with Ciré asbl, the project also houses unaccompanied foreign minors in their third phase. It is a reception model long argued for, which a few operators are gradually putting in place under the auspices of Fedasil.

Transition offers transit housing to asylum seekers recognised as refugees: six months to open their CPAS rights and look for permanent housing, with SAM alongside them. That many places freed up in Fedasil centres, where the reception crisis has lasted for years.

Escale & Youth in Transit make young people actors in their own lives, budget and health included. Supervised semi-autonomous housing serves as a springboard toward full participation in society.
